Football & Basketball Cheer: Combining Both Programs Why?
- To support both Basketball and Football Equally
- Similar to other middle schools in the county
- Models collegiate format
What does this look like
Football:
- Season: End of July- Mid October
- Choreography: A Week in July
- Practice: Monday Afternoons & Thursday Mornings (as needed)
- Gameday: Tuesdays Afterschool
- One Squad: Everyone will cheer on Tuesdays
Basketball:
- Season: December-Beginning of February
- Choreography: 2 Days End of November/Beginning of December
- Practice: On Gamedays (before gametime)
- Gameday: Tuesday OR Thursday (only would cheer once a week)
- Two Squads: Navy and Silver Team (each would cheer one game a week)
Tryouts: May 4th -7th (the week after Milestone Testing)
- Mon-Wed. - Clinic and Learning Material
- Thurs. - Tryout Day
- Looking to take 15-20 girls
- All skill levels welcome to tryout, the team will be scored to determine the team
- Students/Parents will need an updated dragonfly account with a current physical
Mandatory: The following items are mandatory if participating in the 25-26 cheerleading season:
- Choreography Camp is mandatory. All girls must attend-included in dues.
- Cheer dues $750-payment plans accepted.
Grade Requirements
Grade requirements-all cheerleaders must be passing 5 out of 7 academic classes. Grades from 25-26 school year will be used to determine eligibility for start of season. Grades will also be checked at the end of first semester for eligibility in January 2027.
Dues
- For both seasons dues are $750 total
- Cheer Camp and Music: $175
- Uniform: $200
- Swag (tshirts, sweatshirt, jersey, rain jacket, gameday accessories): $175
- Pre-Game Meals: $150
- Banquet: $50
